Bracknell garden to benefit group
June 2010
A new garden in Bracknell has been unveiled that will help improve the lives of a group of people with learning disabilities.
The group, who are all supported by specialist support provider, Dimensions, are to benefit from the newly revamped garden, thanks to support services and construction company, Carillion Civil Engineering.
The local division of the company decided to donate new garden furniture and help transform the garden after visiting Bracknell's Dimensions, which supports people with learning disabilities and autism. The garden now has a new seating area, new planting and borders and the addition of bird boxes.
Jay Dixon, of Dimensions, said: "We are very grateful for this donation from Carillion. Some of the people who live here have severe difficulties and have been unable to maintain their garden. This donation will make spending time in the garden more enjoyable particularly over the summer."
David Merrony, project supply chain manager at Carillion Civil Engineering, said: "Carillion is absolutely delighted to be part of this worthwhile project. Being able to support the communities in which we operate is important to us and we're grateful to have been given the opportunity to be able to contribute."
