Getting tested

This page talks about getting a Covid-19 test.

If you think you may have Covid-19 you should get a test, which you can book for free through the NHS.

Using the slides below you can find information about how you can get a test and what it involves.

We have also included some information about wordless booklets created by Books Beyond words below these slides if you prefer.

Books beyond words

The ‘Having a Test for Coronavirus’ booklet, created by Books Beyond Words, is a wordless story about getting tested for coronavirus. This includes information about both types of tests.

The ‘Having a Home Test for Coronavirus‘ booklet, created by Books Beyond Words, is a shortened wordless story that can help people having a home test to prepare. It also includes information at the back for supporters and carers.

Having a Test for Coronavirus at a Drive Through Centre’, created by Books Beyond Words, is a double-sided picture sheet illustrating the drive through testing process.  It also includes a quick guide for testers and tips for making the test accessible. You may find it helpful to print and take it with you when going to a drive though test centre.
