At this time of nationwide appreciation for people who work in social care, Dimensions is proud to be one of very few social care organisations that have been awarded by the independent “Great Places To Work” institute – and for three consecutive years.
“Great Places to Work” is the world’s largest study of workplace cultures. It is an audit of the practices that create an outstanding workplace culture alongside a survey of employees’ views of their employer.
In that survey, nearly 9 in 10 employees agreed that their work has a special meaning and is not ‘just a job.’ One colleague said, “The company truly care and have the people we support at the heart of everything.”
A similar proportion said they feel a sense of pride when they look at what we accomplish and the vast majority said they were offered training and career development as part of their role. One respondent commented, “I feel appreciated and valued as a person from a BAME background. I have been given equal opportunity.”
And one colleague commented, “…as a father of a child who may one day come to be supported by Dimensions, I often ask myself– could my child fit here? Do we do what we say on the tin? The answer, in my experience to date, is yes.”Perhaps, all told, that is why in a sector where over 30% staff leave their jobs each year, at Dimensions our figure is just 13%.
Don’t take our word for it. Uniquely, we believe, we publish every detail of our colleague survey – good and bad. Because it is just right that new employees know what they’re letting themselves in for. Find it here.
Whether or not we win the award on Friday, we hope that you’ll consider joining our winning team: www.dimensionscareers.co.uk
