Today we’re launching My Vote My Voice

We’re at the Houses of Parliament today! We’re welcoming MPs to learn about our new voting campaign, My Vote My Voice, which aims to make the next General Election the most accessible yet.

MPs will hear from our Campaigns Advisor Dr Mark Brookes MBE and Dimensions Leaders List winner James Walker alongside speakers from our partner organisations, United Response, Ambitious About Autism and Mencap, and a number of other people with learning disabilities. Together we’re campaigning to remove voting barriers and raise awareness about people with learning disabilities and autistic people’s right to vote.

The campaign, funded by the UK Democracy Fund, a Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust initiative, is especially important this year as the new requirement for voter ID has the potential to make voting in this year’s local elections less accessible to all of us – but especially autistic people and people with learning disabilities.
