Each member of our executive team brings extensive experience and expertise in their specialism. Together, they keep the people we support at the heart of all our decisions, developing our high standards of support and ensuring our staff are motivated to be the best they can be.
Steve Scown, Chief Executive (@SScown)
Steve trained as a learning disability nurse at the high security Rampton Hospital and worked in a number of NHS management positions before joining the voluntary sector in 1993.
Before being appointed as CEO in 2011 Steve led Dimensions’ organisational development work in championing the personalisation agenda. A speaker at UK and international conferences, he co-authored the award winning books, ‘Making it Personal‘ and, more recently, ‘Making it Personal for Everyone.’
He has an MSc in Public Service Administration and a keen interest in understanding how organisations undertake change and how they contribute beyond their organisational boundaries. He is a Trustee of Skills For Care and formerly Chair of the Voluntary Organisations for the Disabled Group (VODG).
Rachael Dodgson, Managing Director (@rachael_dodgson)
Rachael has worked in social care for over 30 years. She is a qualified social worker and has worked in a wide range of roles. This includes several years working in both support, registered manager and operations director posts in services for adults with learning disabilities.
She also worked for Birmingham People First and spent 13 years working for the social care regulator on strategy, regulatory frameworks and policy as Head of Adult Social Care Policy.
Rachael is passionate about ensuring people have choice and control over their lives and delivering high quality support.
Jackie Fletcher, Group Director Quality, Public Affairs and Marketing (@jac1964)
Jackie is the organisational lead practitioner for involvement and engagement and issues related to the regulation of services for vulnerable people.
Chris Woodhead, Group Director of Housing and Business Development (@woodhead_c)
Chris has 20 years’ experience in the housing and social care sectors leading a diverse range of services including housing options, supported living, development and social and economic regeneration.
Passionate about great customer service and value for money, Chris is committed to delivering exemplar homes in which to deliver exemplar support.
Ian Goodacre, Chief Financial Officer
Ian brings a wealth of finance and commercial experience from the private sector including 13 years working in health, social care and social housing.
Ian has extensive knowledge and experience of finance transformation, operational improvement, and business acquisitions and integration.
Ian is a Chartered Accountant, holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management in Evanston Illinois and is a PRINCE2 Practitioner.
Stella Cheetham, Group Director of People and Organisational Development (@StellaCheetham)
Stella Cheetham brings extensive HR experience from the private, public and voluntary sectors to her role of Group Director of People and Organisational Development at Dimensions.
Stella recognises that recruiting, training and engaging people with the right skills and values is essential to ensure that the people we support and their families receive the best possible support and service in line with Dimensions’ vision of achieving better lives for more people.
Helen Orford, Managing Director of Discovery
Helen started her career as a nursing auxiliary in the NHS and then spent twenty years working with older people in various roles within the Anchor Trust. She joined Dimensions in 2011 as an assistant operations director. Prior to becoming Managing Director of Discovery, Helen spent four years as the Managing Director for Dimensions’ West Region always considering, with a keen and open mind, how we could support the people we support to live an even better life.
