Claudiu Lazar, Positive Behaviour Support Award

Assistant locality manager Claudiu told us,

“I found my passion in social area since volunteering in Romania from 2001. I always challenge myself to be a positive role model for people with LD&A and my colleagues. Discovering the potential in people is so rewarding. This made me fight for people with LD&A and encourage them to find their brighter future.”

Claudiu Lazar, Assistant Locality Manager

Claudiu was nominated by his manager Ben, who said:

“Claudiu has been exceptional since day one of joining the organisation and has since demonstrated regularly a spectacular work ethic and hard determination to help improve the lives for the better for the people we support whether that be helping them to settle into their homes in the local community when in transition or helping them through a particular mental health crisis.

Claudiu has never had a sick day since joining the organisation.

“Claudiu also is there for all the support teams and colleagues and pushes not only himself but also the teams to go the extra mile. Claudiu leads by example in order to demonstrate this to others. Claudiu adapts his way of working to help others feel more comfortable and able to complete their key responsibilities in their day to day roles thus Claudiu has helped them to become more empowered as a direct result.

“Recently, Claudiu has again shown and excelled in helping to cover and manage a Service in Berkshire which had a recent Covid outbreak involving both people we support and several team members testing positive. Claudiu however more than stepped up to meet this challenge head on and directly supported both people we support and his other colleagues admirably through this particular crisis without once showing signs of stress or fatigue or complaint at the workload required of him.
