Involved with Criminal Justice?

Everyone deserves a fresh start. And no individual we’ve supported has ever been recalled to prison or hospital for the same offence.

We’ll never judge you for having been in contact with the criminal justice system.

Instead, we’ll believe in your future.

We’ll work with others to keep you, and those around you, safe.

And we’ll help you build a safer, independent life living in your own home in your local community.

Through our personalised support you’ll gain confidence and self-control, building empathy for those around you.

Your support will taper off, typically over a seven year period, enabling you to manage your own life safely and achieve full rehabilitation.

How it works

Aligned with NHS Transforming Care, we’ll support you to move from institutions to living in your own home.

If you’re referred to Dimensions with an offending history or risk, we’ll first give you a specialist forensic assessment process. Getting things right at this stage underpins the effectiveness of everything else, so assessments are comprehensive and thorough.

The forensic assessment informs your personalised support plan, and a parallel Risk Trigger Response (RTR) plan ensures we manage any risks proactively, actively, and reactively.

Our unique forensic approach has been developed from a combination of positive behaviour support, attachment/interactive theories, cognitive approaches, teaching and learning theory and humanistic psychology.

We’ll talk with your current and former support providers, family members (if appropriate), care managers and professional partners and sometimes people from the criminal justice agencies. This helps us understand you much better.

Our specialist teams work as part of a multi agency approach with police, probation, housing, NHS and local authorities, and receive oversight from our Offending Behaviour Review Panel to ensure best practice.
