Reasonable adjustments are changes that can help more people use a service or place.
Reasonable adjustments can be different for everybody but some are the same.
These are some of the reasonable adjustments that can be made for everybody: 1. Make sure everyone can get around safely.
2. Turn down the lights and noises.
3. Give you a different waiting room to wait in.
4. Put up signs and guides so you will know where to go for things like the reception, exit, lifts and toilets.
5. Make sure there is enough space and a disabled toilet for people who use a wheelchair, walking aid or mobility scooter.
It is also important to make sure all information is accessible.
This can be by information having large text in it.
This can be information given in easy read.
Social stories are good for some autistic people. Social stories explain what will happen with pictures.
These are some of the things you can ask for your doctor to do if you are worried or need support to see your doctor.
You might be able to choose an appointment at a time that is good for you.
You might be able to ask for a longer time to see the doctor.
You might need to get used to going to see the doctor and the doctor and the staff at the doctor's surgery can help with this.
Staff at the GP surgery can ask you and the people who know you best what they can do to support you well.
